Актуальность. Рис является одной из важнейших продовольственных культур в мире. Статистический анализ мирового производства риса позволяет выявить ключевые тенденции, оценить факторы, влияющие на урожайность, и разработать эффективные стратегии для удовлетворения растущих потребностей в данной культуре на мировой арене. В исследовании авторы проводят аналитический обзор мирового производства риса в динамике с 1961 по 2022 год по статистическим данным Продовольственной и сельскохозяйственной организации Объединённых Наций.Цель исследования — выявление тенденций развития мирового рынка производства риса.Методы. Эмпирической основой исследования. послужили статистические сведения Продовольственной и сельскохозяйственной организации Объединённых Наций. Теоретической основой исследования послужили труды известных российских и зарубежных ученых, непосредственно затрагивающие различные стороны мирового производства риса. Методологическую основу исследования составили методы: сравнение, временной анализ, систематизация данных.Результаты. Китай и Индия производят более 50% мирового объема риса. В Китае намечается тенденция по уменьшению площадей производства риса параллельно с увеличением урожайности. Есть ряд стран, которые имеют огромный потенциал развития на рынке риса: Пакистан, Камбоджа, Филиппины, Вьетнам, Бангладеш, Индонезия. Эти страны быстрыми темпами наращивают объемы посевных площадей по данной культуре и повышают эффективность площадей за счет повышенного сбора урожая риса с 1 га.

Relevance. The study provides an analytical overview of global rice production over time from 1961 to 2022 according to statistics from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.The purpose of the study is to identify trends in the development of the global rice production market.Methods. The empirical basis of the study was the statistical data of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. The theoretical basis of the study was the works of famous Russian and foreign scientists, directly affecting various aspects of world rice production. The methodological basis of the study was the following methods: comparison, time analysis, data systematization.Results. China and India produce more than 50% of the world’s rice. In China, there is a trend towards a decrease in the area of rice production, in parallel with an increase in yield. There are a number of countries that have enormous development potential in the rice market: Pakistan, Cambodia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Indonesia. These countries are rapidly increasing the volume of harvesting areas for this crop and increasing the efficiency of these areas due to increased rice yield per 1 hectare.
